CSC Brazil 19 KICK OFF

Finally, here we are at Fortaleza! After an exhausting trip, stopping over 3 countries and 5 cities in 2 days, I arrived at Fortaleza, I can say it is paid off. The views from the hotel are astonishing and the Brazilian spirit is everywhere, there is music on the streets and I am slowly getting contaminated with the Brazilian happiness and relaxing life style.

On Saturday, I met all my colleagues, after all our calls it was great to meet them all in person, and I can openly say that CSC Brazil 19 is a great team! I have found easy going people to get along with and with good sense of humour..I am sure we are going to have a great time. Besides, Fernanda and Fabiana from Pyxera are exceptional, it feels good to know that we are supported with anything we need at any time.

We started our day 1 in Fortaleza with a tour around hour hotel, that Fabiana kindly gave to us, showing us the main and useful spots. The day ended with an incredible dinned at Coco Bambú where we enjoyed Fortaleza delights. Good company, beach, good food, cachaca ( only one..) and Brazilian music on the background. What else I could wish for our day 1 in Fortaleza!

STDS Project

The first impression of the project is very good! It is going to be very challenging in a month, but we are an experienced team and I am sure we will work hard to make the most of our time.

A first call with Joao, the STDS Project manager has been done! Joao, as most of Brazilians  has an open character and he seems to be very proactive. Though the language is not an issue to me, I really enjoy speaking in Portuguese, the translator will be necessary for my team mates. Joao confirmed the translator will work with us full time and she will be one of the team members.

I can see they are grateful for being offered with IBM Team support for this project and they are  looking forward to our arrival, to help them to achieve their goals and listen, learn from us how to improve their project.

Only ten days to go!

I still can´t believe that in less than two weeks the countdown will be over and CSC Brazil 19 will kick off in Fortaleza! I have no words to express how excited I feel about it and how fortunate I am for having been provided with this opportunity. I am not going to waste a minute of this month ahead, not at work or at leisure time.

This weekend….it will be time for packing. So, what to pack? I know, I have to travel light, will I make it? Ant mosquitos, immunization record…can´t be forgotten!
